Founded in 1999 by visionary health care leaders, CHCA has provided Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other healthcare organizations with solutions to advance health information technology adoption including implementation and project management, infrastructure hosting, application training, report development, on-going application support services, and consulting and education for various related initiatives.
CHCA is a 501(c)(3) Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN), meaning its activities are overseen by an FQHC majority lead Board of Directors. As such, its primary interests are aligned with the mission of FQHCs to ensure every person has access to quality healthcare services.

HRSA awards CHCA grant to provide FQHCs with education, consulting, and training regarding meeting Meaningful Use criteria, improving patient obesity metrics, gaining Medical Home recognition, providing Security Risk Assessments, and disaster recovery planning and preparation; AHCA contracts with CHCA to increase FQHC and private sector enrollment in Direct Secure Messaging (DSM) services
Under a Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act agreement, AHCA contracts with CHCA for pilot project to engage pediatric practices in workflow integration of DSM-related technologies; Under CDC agreement, Florida DOH contracts with CHCA to advance use of EHR technology and reporting to target potentially undiagnosed hypertensive patients
Southwest Texas Network, an HCCN, contracts with CHCA for PMS/EHR/EDR application support services, Security Risk Assessments, and Meaningful Use coaching
HRSA awards CHCA 3-year grant to provide FQHCs with education, consulting, and training on Quality Improvement, Patient Centered Medical Home, EHR optimization and reporting, and Health Information Exchange adoption. Seventeen health center organizations representing 160 delivery sites and over 455, 000 patient lives to benefit from grant-funded services.
